  • Business operators should:
    • hold a valid Hong Kong Identity Card
    • have an organizational digital certificate of the registered business issued by a recognized certification authority
  • Business operators should give notice within 1 month of the cessation of their business / branch
  • Business operators may submit their notifications via eTAX at GovHK

  • The Business Registration Office will generally send the reply by post to the postal address after cessation / main business address (in the case of a branch) within 21 working days after receipt of the notification
