  • Applicable to Mainland fisherman deckhands (Applicant) and ship owners (Sponsor in Hong Kong).
  • Applicants should possess a valid Exit and Entry Permit issued by the Mainland government for mainland Chinese fishermen working on Hong Kong and Macau's fishing vessels.
  • The Sponsor in Hong Kong must be a Hong Kong fisherman, a Hong Kong registered fishing company, or a Hong Kong company operating a fishing vessel, and must first apply for quotas from the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department.
  • The applicant and sponsor will be required to fill in an online application form.
  • Document Required:
    • Applicant’s Exit and Entry Permit
    • Other supporting documents (if any)

  • The application processing generally takes five working days upon receipt of all the required documents.
  • The Immigration Department (ImmD) will notify the Sponsor in Hong Kong of the application result by email.
  • Fee
    • The fee for an entry permit is HKD$230.
  • Payment methods
    • Upon approval of the applications, the notification of the application result issued by the ImmD will include a webpage link for payment. Payment of relevant fees could be made through the said webpage link or the GovHK website or the ImmD Mobile Application by credit cards, Payment by Phone Service (PPS) or Faster Payment System (FPS).
  • After payment, applicants could instantly download or print the “e-Visa” by themselves.
